Snow Bros. — a frosty icon born in arcades, reborn through pixelated ports and midnight nostalgia — returns here as a curious modern artifact: Snow Bros. Special, packaged as an NSP/XCI for the Nintendo Switch, its titleline extended with the small but potent phrase “-DLC Update-”. That suffix is a hinge: it promises new content, but it also exposes the tensions of retro gaming in the age of downloadable extras, platform emulation, and collector impulse.
